A securities class action was brought against Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd., Rio Tinto plc, Rio Tinto Limited, Rio Tinto International Holdings Limited, and certain of their officers and directors, alleging misrepresentations regarding an underground development project in disclosure documents and public statements. It was brought on behalf of investors who acquired TRQ securities between July 31, 2018 and July 31, 2019. Under the proposed Settlement, CAD $22,663,980.00 would be paid in full and final settlement of all claims, inclusive of Class Counsel fees, taxes, expenses, and administration costs. If approved, the net amount would be divided pro rata among Settlement Class Members who submit a valid Claim Form, based on their compensable investment loss.
